The Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA) and Alaska Galena City School District have come together to provide a distance educational program for military school-age dependents. I.D.E.A. (International Distance Education of Alaska) offers a correspondence program through computers. There are many benefits which include, but are not limited to, certified teacher support, internet access, technical support for hardware and software needs, curriculum standards and assessment for grades K-12, standardized testing, etc. For more information and enrollment contact your local I.D.E.A. representative and/or the DoDD schools.
