Okay, my house is haunted. I am sitting here at the computer, stepfather making knock off Batman toys from my brother, mum cleaning the kitchen, and all of a sudden, the light switch flicks off.  No, not the just the light, the LIGHT SWITCH flicks the lights off. Gilberto stands up saying "Oh man." and flicks the lights on, probably thinking we have a short. Then he points out that somehow the light switch we can all see somehow flick itself off. Then, like the intelligent family we are, we nervously chuckle and continue on with our lives.

Um... most of my friends have either seen the ghost kids or felt them. From what we can tell one kid is about three or four, and I think I saw a baby.  My brother and sister who are three and four often tell us that they saw a blue person in the hall or a red thing is out side their window.

The first person to see the ghosts was my mom. She said she kept seeing someone peeking over at her from around the corner of our living room. (Whenever I say "Corner" I am referring to the corner of our living room where it turns to the hallway.) One day, several months after we moved in, we had some relatives over. Michelle, my aunt, was sitting on the couch with her mother when all of a sudden they start chattering excitedly in Spanish. My mom and I speak English and have no idea what is going on. Gilbert, my stepdad, later told my mom that they had seen someone looking at them many times that evening.

The first time I saw anything, I was doing the dishes and I saw my brother crawling in the hall for some reason wearing his blue pajamas. I walked into the hall and uh... oh... Kevin and Kathy are in the shower. (Brother and Sister) Freaky....

What? Not convinced? Okay, more proof.

My mom and I were cleaning up the house last summer and we were alone. We clean the living room and vacuum it then head off into her room to make her bed. We come out of her room and there were PLAYING CARDS ALL OVER THE FLOOR! No kidding and I am not lying about this.

More stories huh? Okay, my mother had a friend come over for an hour and "Dana" kept looking in the hallway. "Oh, I see." My mom asked what was the problem and Dana said, "I saw the kids you always talk about. I thought it was Kevin but now I see he is out side."

That is a story in itself. You know how most kids have "imaginary friends" right? Kevin had this. He had a friend he called "His Kevin" who would talk to him or "keep the spooks away".

My mom and stepdad took the kids shopping and found a really cool toy. When you turned it on with a remote control, this robot would ask you questions and "talk" to you. The coolest part was it would ask your name and "remember" it. Well, Gilbert thought this was the coolest damn thing since Cable TV and asked how much the toy robot cost. Only five bucks! "Only five dollars for a remote controlled toy?" You ask. So did Gilberto. You see, the toy can only say one line when you push a button. That remote control is for a different toy.

Also, Kevin just told us stories all the time of people who wake him up tapping on the window above his bed.

One day, my mom was doing something and she mocked "the little dead children" as we call them.  They proceded to push a fifty pound coffee pot off the refrigorator across the kitchen and let it drop beside her.  Uh huh.  Explain THAT!  ("Okay, you're lying." - You.  Actually, I am not.)

Another time, I had a friend over and the telephone rang. (Whoooo.... freaky....) So, I leap across the house to get the phone before it stops ringing and Kevin, in the way, chirps "Telephone!" I get the phone, and it was for me; it was my mom saying she'd be home in a few minutes. She asked what everyone was doing and I told her Gilbert and Kathy were in the backyard and Kevin was... uh.... hm. He was taking a nap and sound asleep.

Not convinced? Okay, I've seen them, Gilbert has seen them, friends see them, Mom has seen them, relatives have seen them. Okay, here is the Icing on the Cake,

If you live in Las Vegas you may remember many months back near a year or more, we had home invasion robberies. Two guys were dressing up as cops, coming to houses, coming in, killing or beating the family up and robbing the house.

On night, I am sitting there at the computer, as I usually am, and it is eleven o'clock at night. BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM! At the door. I, bravely, leap out of my chair and run with out grace or dignity, flock to Gilbert and my mom's room. Gilbert comes out and answers the door. Two police officers tell us that they have received a phone call from inside the house and need to look around. Gilbert lets them in and they only get as far as the hallway before they both suddenly realize they are at the wrong house and take off. "Uh... we're at the wrong house. We need to be at house 3101." and leave.

Later we think, "Hey, there IS no 3101. This street is only one block and stops before that..." Please note, the "cops" were in the hallway near the living room, in the corner.

Coincidence? I think not. The car our fake police were driving was the same as the one described on the news.

If I think of anymore things, or if something else happens, I'll update. Email me your comments or your stories.
