Ren Hui is an occasional professional photographer, who has gained some recognition back in her home country of Singapore. A recipient of her high school's Merit Award for contribution to the school through the Photography Society, she has also had some of her photographs exhibited as part of the annual National University of Singapore Montage competition 2008, as well as the Singapore Young Photographer Award 2008. Ren Hui provided photographic coverage for school events while an executive member of Raffles Junior College (RJC) Photography Society. As part of the RJC Photography Society, Ren Hui organised the 2007 Singapore Schools Photography Competition and Seminar, involving all the secondary and post-secondary educational institutions in Singapore. Upon graduating from RJC, she landed an internship with a photography company while waiting to enter university. Ren Hui came to Toronto for her university education in September 2008. Currently she is the chemical curator for the Hart House Camera Club's darkroom, and shoots for one of her university's newspapers, The Varsity. She also shoots weddings and events commercially.
