This page is dedicated to my mentor AL "Z" . He was my best friend and then some. I used to call him "down the middle Al". I don't think he knew what it was like to play out of the rough. Hell, he never got his money's worth like me. I play from every where on the course. This is a picture of us, he is the one on the right.

Since I moved to Florida, I've become a golf enthusiast and don't understand why I would like something I can't master, or just play. But it (golf) is an addiction and should be controlled by the FDA.

There are many reasons for living in South Florida, but as a golfer it is probably the BEST. I can now make a fool of myself all year long. When I lived in New York, I only looked stupid 6 or 7 months out of the year.

When I played with Al, he would keep me in line and try to tell me about course management. Course management, hell that's for the Greens Keeper, Me, I just wanted to hit the drive as far as I could. On a good drive that's about 260, 270 yards. He knew I had a lousey short game and would try to get me to only drive to the 150yd. marker, and then use my 8 iron to the green. Smart playing was his way of thinking, but noooo not mine. I had to whack that ball and be left with a wedge to the green, which put 2 or 3 more strokes to my score. You see, I either hit a wedge 10yds or 200yds, duff it or blade it. Yes I do miss him and to this day I still keep my driver in my closet and use the 3 wood. But one day when he's not looking down, I'm gonna sneak that driver out and try it!!!!!!

This is me on the ninth hole.
