1) Close Communicator
2) Search your computer for prefs.js. Click the Start button and select Find
(or Search), Files or Folders, type prefs.js in the Named field, and Press Enter 3) If you find multiple profiles, ensure that you are renaming the proper file. The correct file is usually located in C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\"your profile name". Rename prefs.js to prefs.old.(Right-click the file, select Rename type prefs.old, and press Enter)
4) Close the window and restart Communicator
5) Click on Edit - Preferences
6) Enter all your preferences.
