I like to use brushes for corners on my frames.
Although I am practiced at using them
I realize that some are just learning.

Thought I would share how I use them.

If you are having problems installing PSP 8 brushes

and learn how to install brushes and much more..

When your frame is complete,
resized and sharpened , if necessary,
Add a layer.

Click on the paint brush icon on your tool bar.

On the fly out menu choose paint brush.

A tool options pallet will pop up.

Click on the second icon from the left and the drop down menu will appear.

Choose the brush you would like to use and the size that is right for your frame.

Your settings should be as below.

opacity 100 and blend mode normal, and no checks in the boxes

Now line up your brush where you want it on your new layer.

Apply once, although some brushes look better if done more then once.

On your layer pallet, make the bottom layer invisible, duplicate your brush layer then mirror the new layer..

Now merge visible the two brush layers and duplicate then flip.

While your bottom layer is still invisible, merge visible the brush layers then make the bottom visible again.

While still on the brush layer you can apply an inner bevel or a drop shadow if you like and merge all, flatten.

And that's it :)
