The Great Outdoors!

Camping and hiking are the main outdoor activities that Boy Scouts participate in. Trips can be just for fun, for advancement, or can be challenging like a Philmont Trek. Dates for trips should be set down durring the annual planning meeting. Then they should be refined durring quarterly planning.

Arizona is full of places to go. There are mild day hike trails for the beginners. Then there are rugged back country trails in the Grand Canyon that will challenge the most experienced hikers. To see what Arizona has to offer, go here.

Camping

Day Hikes

Short day hikes are fun and easy to pull off. Consider these for patrol outings or for a fun day trip for the troop.

Backpacking

Backpacking is for those who like a challenging adventure. From just one night to a 50 miler to a Philmont Trek, backpacking provides a workout to those who have the proper equipment. Are you ready to tackle the Grand Canyon? Look here for more info!
