Batanes Islands Protected Landscapes and Seascapes
The northernmost province in the country, the Batanes Islands
harbor unique people and landscapes. It's part of the CPPAP
priority protected areas program.
Mislabeled on the map, Batan Island is where the provincial
capital, Basco, is located. It can be reached by air from Manila or Laoag.
From Batan, other islands may be reached by boat.
