   0530 Assembly at Tropical Hut, Monumento, Kalookan 
   0600 ETD for Arayat, Pampanga (via Sierra Madre Trans or Santiago Express) 
   0830 ETA, Arayat, Pampanga (Buan's Supermarket) 
   0945 ETA, Bgy. Ayala, Magalang, Pampanga (Jump off, Aling Asiang's place) 
   1000 Start trek 
   1200 Lunch at big rocks 
   1400 Resume trek 
   1630 ETA, summit. Pitch camp. 
   1800 Dinner 
 
Day 2 
   0530 Wake-up call 
   0630 Breakfast 
   0800 Break camp 
   0830 Start descent 
   1130 ETA, Aling Asiang's place 
   1300 ETA, Arayat, Pampanga. Lunch. 
   1400 ETD for Kalookan 
   1630 ETA, Kalookan

  •   5 liters of water 
  •   Packed lunch for Day 1 
  •   Off  insect repellant lotion 
Fare guide: 
   From Monumento to Arayat: 32 pesos via air-conditioned bus. 
   From Arayat to Bgy. Ayala: Jeeps that can comfortably seat 10 persons plus their backpacks are available for charter for 200 pesos. Ask the driver to fetch you the next day. 
 
Side trip: 
   Before returning to Manila, have lunch at Jurado's at the corner of Espino Ave. and Manapat St. in Arayat. 
   Try their bianda; a spicy dish of chicken and cabbage sautéed in soy sauce, and served on a sizzling plate. 
   Ask for halo-halo for dessert. A refreshing treat made with shaved ice, milk, gelatin, sweet corn kernels, jelly bean paste (cooked for 10 hours), and halayang gatas ng kalabaw (carabao milk custard). After lunch just cross Espino Ave. to the Santiago Express bus waiting to take you back to Manila.
