Gretings fellow BMW enthisiast. I am a member of BMW MOA and VBMWMOA. I've sold this mechanically restored 1965 R60/2.

This bike was completely mechanically rebuilt in 2001, and has very nice original fenders and optional sport tank. Details on the rebuild are below the photos. Parts and labor came from the best in the business: Randy Long; Ed Korn; Mark Huggett; Craig Vechorik.

All new bearnings, seals, slingers, plated and reground camshaft, new pistons, rings, wrist pins, carb rebuilt & flanges milled by Bing Agency, rewound magneto coil, new generator brushes, new solo seat, deep oil sump, hew cables, new rubber. All new bearings and seals in tranny. New seals in final drive. Original finish. Handlebar risers and rear shock lowers repainted with por15. 5K on exhaust system. Spectro Golden Synthetic used since break-in.

Why did I sell the bike - simple, I promised my wife I'd reduce my collection of BMWs if she'd let me buy a backhoe. I'm the proud owner of a Kubota L35TLB, and another BMW enthusiast has the pleasure of riding it.

This is a wonderful rider, but not a show bike. If you want to convert it to a show bike, you'd want to do cosmetic touch-ups like paint the frame, replace rims and spokes, repaint the tank and fenders (personally I'd think it was a sin to repaint the fenders and tank given their very clean condition for parts that are 39 years old).
