Un antico reperto fotografico raffigurante Renato, Leo e la prima tavola del Club
Asturias, Northern Spain, 1990: the brainwave! While spending a couple-of-month holiday, Renato Nicolai and Leonardo Vittorio Cappetta saw some Spanish guys surfing and decided to buy a 7''3' mini malibu Pukas board. Second hand, of course...This is both the beginning and the end of the story, because this first Pukas has shown the way to a lot of friends and is still alive and well.
We can say that the Micro Wave Unofficial Surf & Bodyboard Club was born in an Asturian surf shop on that day of July, even though its logo, home page and clothing are more recent.
Our name comes from the fondness we have for small waves. On one hand this is due to our not-very -high technical level and, on the other hand, to the fact that we go surfing in Italy where small waves are the most frequent.
The members of our club are, more or less, Renato, Leo, Fabio, Massimo, Mura, Sergio and Steven, and we more or less surf Italian, Spanish and French waves.
