Episode #103
Volcano

RATING: 7.5 (Most people don't like this episode so much, but I thought it was pretty good. It had the classic "Duck and Cover", "It's coming right for us!", and Kenny the little bastard, even Scuzzlebutt. )

HOW KENNY DIES: During the volcano eruption, a big rock lands on Kenny, which is when Kyle says, "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" Kenny lives through that, however, and does not die until Ned drops his gun on the ground, and it goes off, shooting Kenny.

SUMMARY: Ned and Jimbo take the kids on a hunting trip on a mountain. Stan doesn't want to shoot a rabbit, and his uncle starts to like Kenny more, who becomes a "little bastard" by drinking gasoline and blowing fish out of the water. The mountain is actually a volcano, and the town discovers its going to erupt. They dig a ditch to divert the lava out of their city and into a canyon, and from there the lava goes to Denver. Luckily, South Park is safe. When the kids try to get off the mountain, the trench is in the way, but Scuzzlebutt shows up and weaves a basket to take them across with. Stan then shoots Scuzzlebutt to show his uncle that he is a little bastard too.

MEMORABLE QUOTES:

Cartman: This is like the gun I used in 'Nam.
Ned: Where were you stationed?

Cartman: Danforth, pull up the flank! Watch out for Charlie up in the trees! (Having a 'Nam flashback)

Jimbo: Hunting sober is like... fishing... sober.

Jimbo: Look at that little bastard go!

Kyle: Gosh, I hope he doesn't cut me with his celery hand.

Jimbo: It's coming right for us!

Townspeople: The volcano! Quick, duck and cover!
