Points and Points Reporting

1. All members who have hosted a benefit show for the CMC&R in each year are eligible to submit points for year end awards. Horses must be registered prior to Dec. 1st of the year you wish to report points for. The registry is closed between Dec. 1st - Jan. 1st. 2. The show year runs from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st. Points are to be submitted just once, and are due to the pointkeeper by Feb. 28th of the following year. All information on how points are to be submitted and to who will be announced in the Nov./Dec. CME. 3. Points are limited to those won at Canadian held shows (photo or live) and to the best 30 shows for each horse. You may enter as many shows as you want, but only 30 for each horse will count. Placings won in model races DO NOT COUNT AT ALL. 4. The following point scale is to be used:
1st = 11points 4th = 7 points 7th = 4 points 10th = 1point 2nd = 9 points 5th = 6 points 8th = 3 points HM = 1/2 point 3rd = 8 points 6th = 5 points 9th = 2 points
Grand Champion of Show = 100 points Reserve = 90 points Champion of Sex (S,M,G,F) = 85 points Reserve = 80 points Halter / Performace Champion = 75 points Reserve = 70 points (includes Eng / West. etc.) Other Championship = 65 points Reserve = 60 points (anything not covered above) Judges Choice = 50 points Top 10 / 5 etc. = 25 points
5. When submiting points there are two things required. The first is a list of each horse with their name, breed, sex, and CMC&R registry # with their total points won. (At present the registrar will send you a sheet with a list of horses that points have been submitted for previously). You also must submit a list of the shows you have entered that year including the date, name of show, and the show holder's name.

Benefit Shows:

These are more than welcome and are the primary source of income to keep the CMC&R thriving. Ads in the CME are half price (overpayments considered donations). If you wish to submit points at the end of the year you must have hosted a benefit show of some kind in the 12 months previous. We have a regular series of monthly point shows with members volunteering to judge. There are two divisions for the Orginal Finish horses and the Customized horses with 32 classes in each division. (Starting in 1998 there will be a third division for china and resin cast horses). Entry fee is $1.00 will all proceeds coming to the club. There is a year end award for the series that is seperate from the CMC&R year end awards. Points from these shows can also count towards the CMC&R year end awards. Details in the CME.

National Championship Show:

Our annual nationals are held toward the end of the show year. There is a Champion and Reserve named in each class followed by a Top 10. A special point scale is in effect for this show only. Open to members and their horses. Details as to date and judge appear in the CME.

Novice Showers

The CMC&R appreciates the value of the new shower, therefore we have a seperate division for them at the Nationals as well as special year end awards for them. We also encourage individual show holders to offer classes for novices at their shows. A novice shower is anyone who has been showing two years or less. The time is taken from when you first join the club. Photos entered in novice classes must be taken by a novice.

Correspondence:

All correspondence requiring a reply must be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE). We welcome any and all questions.
