Saskatoon Live Show

August 2-3, 1997

You are invited to attend the first Saskatoon Live Show, and I hope that it won't be the last! The class list offers a wide selection of halter classes as well as a good variety of performance classes. Novices classes are also offered.

The show is being held at the Confederation Inn in Saskatoon. And is being hosted by Jennie Seaborn.

Accommodations:

I have plenty of room at my place, although beds are limited. But bring a air matress, sleeping bags and your own pillows for the best slumber party this summer, as there is lots of floor space:) And two bathrooms...:) I live 11 miles out of the city and a 10-15 minute car ride from the Confederation Inn.

Confederation Inn also has rooms available. These are rooms with two double beds, so if you'd like to "bunk" up with a buddy feel free:) The rate on the rooms is $41.00 plus tax. If you'd like to book a room, there number is 1-800-265-3358. When booking your rooms ask for the coupon rate. They also have a swimming pool:) Entry Fee: The entry fee for the weekend is $30.00. There is a limit of four (4) horses per halter class and three (3) horses per performance class. Tentative Schedule: August 1 - Pre-Show get together at my house. Bring the projects that you didn't quite have time to finish in the car, or bring whatever new and exciting things that you want to share. I should be home all day (unless there is some last minute show details that need to be looked after) give me a call when you reach the city, or if your traveling in on Highway 14 from Biggar, stop at the Sandy Ridge Esso and give me a call...You're only 2 miles away from my place. My phone number is 384-1583. August 2 - Show begins at 8:00am. OF Halter and CM Performance. We may have two rings going at the same time, but will start off with OF Halter. We will break for lunch around noon, and will break for the day at 4:30pm. 6:00pm - gather at my place for a Bar-B-Que., and have a bonfire. Meet the horses and other animals. If the weather is bad we can take it inside. August 3 - Show resumes at 9:00am. We will continue where we left off the previous day, then start CM Halter and OF Performance. Novice classes will be held today. Championships will also be awarded after the show. Doorprizes: There will be doorprizes through out the weekend. There will be a silent auction of at least one model. Sponsorships: Would you like to sponsor a Championship and Reserve?? $5.00 will get your name in print as a sponsor, and we'd be forever grateful. Choose which Championship and Reserve you'd like to sponsor. Donations: If you'd like to donate an item for a door prize or as an auction item, please let me know. If your attending, you can bring the item with you. It would greatly appreciate. It doesn't have to be model related (but that's always nice). Championships: Championships and Reserves to be awarded are: Stallion, Mare, Gelding, Foal, Overall Halter, English Performance, Western Performance, Misc. Performance, Overall Performance, and Grand for each division. As well as Novice Halter, Novice Performance and Overall Novice. For a grand total of 46 titles!! Judges: Jennie Seaborn will be the primary judge, but this is a co-operative show, so if you don't have an entry in a particular class, feel free to be the judge. There will be reference books on hand. Rules: 1. There is a limit of four (4) halter horses per class per shower and a limit of three (3) performance horses per class per shower. 2.
