Hi Everyone and welcome to my page. I am a 31 year old geologist from the state of Missouri. I have been into bowhunting all my life. I started shooting in tournaments when I was 5 years old. Well, it was more like throwing arrows. At 12 years old I was finally allowed to go deerhunting with my dad. That was 1979 and I have been hooked every since. In the 19 years of hunting I have so many good memories I can't imagine life without the sport.
About a year ago I took up Fly fishing. I soon got hooked on that. I have a lot to learn. The learning curve for fly fishing is no greater than that of bowhunting, but I started bowhunting lots early. Now I have the pleasure of having two obsessions that together last all year so there is no down time between seasons. I guess that is a good thing since I am a widower and too much time with nothing to do can drive you crazy. Lynn sure was one hell of a fisherwoman too.
The way that I fund my hunting and fishing is by working as a Geologist for the state of Missouri. I basically am a hydrogeologist who performs geologic evaluations for waste-water projects and landfills. I also programed and maintain the homepage for the Environmental Geology Section of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. I get paid to do this. Well not actually this page, but you know what I mean.
