Ft. Walton Beach, Timber Lake

Terrain:  A sandy 4-9 miles of singletrack trails made for non-novices in decent shape.

To Get There: From I-10, exit on SR 80 near Ft. Walton Beach.  Take Beal Parkway North to Ranger Camp Road.  Park by the sand lot.  Ride in from sandlot and head to the right.

Due to the sand and the work you'll be doing trying to stay moving you'll be sweating, but at least you'll be in the shade!  Don't let this fool you though, there are technical sections.  Skinny Dip is the most technical trail and is 1.3 miles. This trail has a lot of logs and obstacles. The second part of this trail is characterized by (1) a lot of tight turns and (2) a heck of steep climb at the end.  The Cramper trail is the best of the bunch, however.  (Review by B. Smith)
