Stuart Jonathan Dickinson State Park Terrain: About 7-8 miles of beginner and intermediate singletrack trails. State park admission fee. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit. Skill To Get There: Jonathan Dickinson State Park is located 12 miles south of Stuart. Follow signs from I-95, east on 708 and south on US1 or east on 706 and north on US1. 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455. The trails are very beginner friendly. If you don't normally ride bikes and you find yourself getting tired, you can bail out onto paved paths marked "P" to return to where you started. The trails can get sandy during dry spells, but there are no technical obstacles to watch out for. The obstacles that are present can be bypassed, such as interesting teeter-totters and bridges to test your skills. The trails also have some elevation change and night rides bring another world of interesting possibilities. Other activities include fishing, boat tours, horse trails, and primitive to cabin to full hookup campsites. Of course, the park is close to the beach as well.
