Greenlough 2-16 Drumsurn 3-05

On Sunday evening, the seniors went some way to making up for the disappointment of losing to Drumsurn in the first round of the championship with a convincing win over the same side at St. Oliver Plunkett's Park before a large crowd.

Terence Birt had our first point in the 3rd minute. A quick free by Paddy O'Neill in the 6th minute found Ruairi McGlinchey and he made no mistake in scoring a fine goal. Leo Madden added two more points in the 10th and 14th minutes.

Durmsurn then scored two points and in the 16th minute Joe Irwin scored their first goal from a penalty after Vincent McDonnell had pulled of a great save.

Five more points from Leo Madden(3), Terence Birt and Dominic Lynn incresed our lead and in the 24th minute a speculative shot from Paddy O'Neill found the Drunsurn net. Adrian O'Neill scored the last point of the half on the 30th minute.
