The activities displayed in this site are dangerous and should only be practised by experienced persons with adequate safety equipment.

Canyoning and Rock climb are dangerous activities that should only be done by experienced parties with adequate equipment. On trips involving abseils or climbing at least one member (2 would be better) should be trained in improvised rope rescue in case you get into trouble. Remeber canyons and cliff faces are not the most pleasent places to do a rescue and if you can't get yourself out then other people will have to put themselves in danger to get you out.
You should also be familar with the NPWS code for canyonning. David Noble has a copy of this on his website which can be found here.
If you do not have an experienced party to head out with then maybe you should try a trip or 2 with a guide (there are some good opperators out there but lookout for the doggy ones). While some people frown on guided tours it's better to be a sucker then find yourself in over your head.

Mountain Biking is also a dangerous activity that should ony be done be competent riders with all the right safety gear, always wear you helmet. Difficult sections of track should first be walked to determine if they are with in your capabilities.

The descriptions in our Virtual Tours are by no means detailed nor are they
100% accurate and therefore should never be used as a guide for planning trips.
We invite you to use the tour pages to compare adventures and reminisce about the
beautiful places you have visited but viewing a tour of a canyon you are yet to do may
spoil the pleasurable surprise that comes with descending the canyon for the
first time
