A thundering 30 meter waterfall drops out below us
as the valley opens out and tumbles down into the countryside far below
Our decent down the fall is both exhilarating and dangerous.
It is next to impossible to hear anything over the booming fall
which pounds us from above and foot placements are hard to
pick on the slippery rock face hidden beneath the rush of water.
From here we have two options.
The first is to absiel the first twenty meters to a small ledge
where we can exit of the side
But we take the second option and continue down the face of the fall
landing in a deep pool of bone chilling water.
even in our wet suits our chests burn as we thrash our way
quickly to the side and revel in the warmth of the sunlight
before starting the long walk back to the car. |
