The Mountaineers at Ohio State is a club of enthusiastic and fun-loving adventurers with a passion for all things outdoors. The club is open to all students, faculty and staff, alumni and other interested parties (have we missed anyone?). Rock climbing tends to be the main focus of the club, however, we have club members that are involved in almost every outdoor activity imaginable.

During the fall and spring quarters the club offers a rock climbing course which features classroom as well as "hands on" instruction. The class is both fun and informative and emphasizes the need for safety in the sport. Members successfully completing the course are eligible for the graduation trip to Seneca Rocks, West Virginia as well as other club trips. Take a look at some photos we've taken on past outings.

Paid members can also check out the latest club news and find information about equipment in the club newsletter. But since we like you we've decided to make all that stuff available on-line anyway.

Membership is only $15 a quarter or $35 for the whole year. Talk about savings! Members receive the newsletter (including the membership roster and schedule of events), expert rock climbing instruction, use of the club's equipment on outings, and personal invitations to Mountaineer activities.

So what are you waiting for? Run,don't walk, to the next club meeting, give us some money, get the newsletter, get in on the classes and get ready to have some fun!

If you aren't familiar with the club take a few minutes to check out our web page! If you know where you want to go, pick from the menubar above. If you want to catch everything, start here.
