Christmas Camp '97

On the 27-30 December 1997, the Thunderbird Rovers descended on Camp Nemo in Burlington for our second annual Christmas Camp.  We thought that everyone was going to make it, which didn't happen, but Qweak, Lumberman, Flynno, Boo-boo, Miller, Laura, Monica, Peter and Bert did make it, and had an awesome time.
We had high aspirations of cooking our own Christmas dinner, completing Squireship training, and pelting Adam Khan with snowballs, but none of that happened either.  Boy, it seems like this was a waste of time, doesn't it?  But seriously, we did hunt our own Christmas tree (and put it up with duct tape!) and continued to dismantle Spectator.  And we did exchange our home made sock puppets, and make dinner.  Of course dinner consisted of spaghetti, cereal, and grilled cheese, rather than turkey with all the fixin's, but what can you do?
The sock puppets were quite a success.  We will get a picture up ASAP.  You see, we decided that instead of baking each other cookies, as inevitably happened in years past, we would instead draw someone's name, and then create a sock puppet of themselves for them!  The winner was hard to determine, but Qweak's played music, Lumberman's was wearing a kilt, Miller's was very large, and Flynno's was very sweaty.
Plenty o' Trivial Pursuit was also had, which was almost as fun as Rail Baron at Christmas Camp '96, but not quite.  Lots of Big Shiny Tunes 2, too.  Also lots of planning for the future of the Crew.  Basically, fun and relaxation was had by all.  Maybe next year we'll get that real dinner made.  Or we could just get 5 dozen doughnuts.
