Snow Moot '98
20-22 February 1998 - Mount Nemo Scout Camp, Burlington, Ontario

Well, unfortunately, the Thunderbirds have not gone to very many Moots in recent memory, but we did make it out to Snow Moot '98, which was organized by the Hamilton Rover Round Table and Spanky.  Anyway, there were a whole lot of people at the camp, although most of them seemed to be Rangers and Venturers.

Miller, Wildman, Lumberman, Monica, Heather, Flynno, Laura and Cory all attended and had fun, despite the fact that it was more like Mud Moot than Snow Moot.  Oh well.  It was Camp Nemo.

The Thunderbirds were in charge of running a few events, but other than that, we just relaxed.  Miller participated in the car rally on Saturday afternoon (said he had to drive for the 55th Hamilton Venturers.  Sure Miller...) and finished very poorly.  At the same time, Lumberman and Wildman were busy giving a wuppin' to Rob and Brian from the 21st Hamilton Crew in the ultimate fighting competition inside Confederation Lodge.

The dance on Saturday night (actually, 8:00pm-8:00am) was awesome, thanks to Gord and Rob from the 21st who were DJing.  In fact one group came to the moot all the way from Ohio just for the dance.

Wildman tried to pick up some Rangers at the dance, and is looking forward to seeing them again at Attawonderonk Moot which is coming up.  Oh my.

Overall, Snow Moot '98 was a big success (over 300 people registered) and we'll be looking forward to attending again next year!
