Since the DNR has put the BUCK ONLY season in to effect the size in the population of the deer has increased. The only bad part about this is the numbers of does are way higher than the number bucks. Even the bucks that are around now aren't very big, mostly forkhorns and spike horns, and this is all of the breeding bucks there are.
I would like to see the season shut down for a year to give the deer a time to have no hunting pressure on them to see how they do. But I would also not like to see this done because I think there would be more illegal hunting, also what would I do for the season! But if it came to that I would rather miss out on one deer season if it would help the population of the deer.
