Hello, welcome to the Pawnee Wildlife Preserve, near historic Ft. Scott, Kansas. We're located 90 miles south of Kansas City, 130 miles northeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and 100 miles west of Springfield, Missouri.

Pawnee Wildlife Preserve is located on 1,280 undivided acres of natural prairie with heavy timber and secluded gentle rolling hills. Pawnee Wildlife Preserve is truly a sportsman's paradise. In most instances, our guests have exclusive privileges to this prime hunting area and are guided over the birds of their choice including pheasants and quail at the pace they select.  We even provide digital pictures of your hunt of a lifetime!   Watch for reports about this year's Alaska Adventures in the Pittsburg Morning SUN Newspaper. (www.morningsun.net)

and a more recent photo taken in the winter...

Pawnee Wildlife Preserve is NOT a "cornfield" hunt!  The only row crops planted on the two square mile area are left for wildlife cover and feed.  Unlike most parts of Kansas... Pawnee Wildlife Preserve is not criss-crossed by county mile section roads.  This provides an excellent natural hunting area. We have abundant supplies of fast-flying pheasant, chuckar, and quail.

Here are some happy goose hunters!

This group from Kansas City had a short 90 mile drive but we also
offer free shuttle service from the Fort Scott Municipal Airport.

Hunters find birds near old-time hand-made rock bridges.
That's me riding across one of them.

This is the beautiful lake on the preserve.
The 100 acre lake is open to members for
waterfowl hunting during the Kansas season.

Here's my son Robbie with one of many
"catch and release" large mouth Bass.

Visitors (like my nephew Shane from Wichita) are likely to catch
a big channel. Shane caught one bigger than mine during his visit!

Here are some pictures of our hunting dogs on non-work days, goofing around with my son Robbie...

Residents of any state may reserve hunts September 1st through March 31st.  Pawnee Wildlife Preserve also offers duck and goose hunts on the 100 acre lake during the Kansas season.  We also have areas available for field trial competition and sporting clays.

Pawnee Wildlife Preserve offers half day drive-in hunts all the way to 3 day outings that include meals, lodging, guides, dogs, and even transportation to and from Kansas City International Airport.  For membership information send an email to the following address:
