What it is, and how do I start

    The location:

    LAT/LON: N 46° 56.028', E 6° 44.071', WGS84
    UTM: 32T 0327555, 5200299, WGS84
    Swiss Grid: 546310, 198173, WGS84

    Difficulty (1 to 5)

    Terrain: 2-3
    Navigation: 3

By car, you should approach from the south. Drive as far as you can then start hiking. You will not have to gain much elevation to find the cache. The hike is about 10-30 minutes, depending on where you park.

By train, get off at Noiraigue. Head Southwest across the tracks and up the well marked trails. You will have to gain about 2000 feet (700 meters) in elevation. The hike is about 2-3 hours one way.

The cache is under the stump of a fallen tree. The tree has been removed and only the stump remains on it's side with the roots exposed.

For more hints, highlight the hidden text below:

The container is hidden on the downhill side of the stump, but it is easiest to approach from the other side (walking downhill). It is only several feet downhill from a barbed wire fence. The uphill side of the barbed wire fence is somewhat open and is a good place to acquire satellites with your GPS. You will probably loose signals as you approach the cache since it is surrounded by trees.
