When she's not hiking, sleeping, or guarding the house, she also enjoys a good game of fetch with a quality stick, catching frisbees, tracking bugs and, of course, chewing on her sister, Belle, when she deserves it. Katy and I have also started training in dog agility which we both think is alot more fun than the obedience classes we were taking. Interestingly, working agility, which is kind of obsticle racing with dogs, has made Katy more confident on our hikes. For better or worse, she's much bolder on climbing over, or under, logs and other trail highlights. This is especially important because Katy hates getting her feet wet, so good rock hopping skills are a must when crossing a stream! |
