Hello, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Mike Schmitz and I am an avid outdoorsman. I was introduced to the outdoors by my father and for this I am eternally grateful. After a car accident in 1987 left me paralyzed from the waist down I learned just how much I loved the outdoors and how important they were to me. Since my accident, I have continued hunting and fishing and am currently doing my part to introduce others to these fine forms of recreation. How? I am a certified Maryland Hunter Safety Instructor and I volunteer my experience to help others just getting into the sport to become more knowlegable and proficient. Additionally, I vounteer with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources by helping them create accessible hunting, fishing and outdoor areas. This page contains recrational links and information centered around hunting, shooting and the great outdoors. Also included is a wildlife photogallery that contains numerous pictures of various wildlife. Check for links to your State Fish and Game Departments to find out about your local recreational opportunities. Other outdoors sites and some special interest sites will be added periodically to the links section.
