| PY: Hi, everyone, and welcome back to yet another exciting Yoshi Stadium battle, on Koopa Beach! As you all well know, this is my co-host, Slow Joe Crow. SC: Hi, everyone, I'm-........oh.....already announced....never mind. PY: Today's match is going to be explosive! EXPLOSIVE, I tell you! First of all, we've got big-man Bowser, with his fiery breath and huge strength factor! Plus, the guy's got wicked rage that you DON'T wanna factor in, trust me! SC: We've seen it before, and it's certainly deadly! PY: Then, we've got Ganon; this isn't even just your average Ganondorf that we'd normally hire for a battle, this is his huge, scaley alter-ego, Ganon! That's twice as much evil, twice as much power, and twice as much destruction! SC: Can't forget about possible Rookie-of-the-Year, King K. Rool- PY: Of course! King K. Rool has shown his true power over and over again, and there's no denying that he's got more potential than many of the long-time pros of the league! He could certainly show up every one of these fighters today! SC: And our personal mascot, Yoshi-...well, we need not go into details about all the ways and reasons he could totally kick butt and claim an easy victory in today's match, right? PY: No need, we all know that our favorite little dino is actually quite the power house! But, our referee, Knuckles the Echidna, is prepared, and this battle is ready for take-off! SC: This game is on! B: 100% KR: 100% G: 100% Y: 100% PY: Yoshi rolls into an egg almost immediately and quickly barrels down upon King Bowser. The Koopa King blows a large wave of flames, disrupting the attack in progress! B: 100% KR: 100% G: 100% Y: 92% SC: Ganon quickly strikes Bowser from behind with a monstrous foot, sending the Koopa King toppling to the ground. Before Ganondorf can continue his assault, however, Bowser grabs a leg and lifts Ganondorf right into the air, hurling the Gerudo aside like a big rag doll! Can't argue, the guy's got strength. B: 91% KR: 100% G: 89% Y: 92% PY: King K. Rool, wisely, sits back and lets the other three take their hits before entering the fray from affar with his crown, slamming Yoshi in the head with it. Before he can avoid it, however, K. Rool is kicked by a sliding Ganondorf, who comes screeching across the dirt from seemingly nowhere. B: 91% KR: 90% G: 89% Y: 85% SC: There's a lot of brute-tastic fighting going on already--let's give some style points by dropping the Star Rod, eh? PY: Fine by me. (Pirate pulls a lever and a Star Rod falls and bounces once before landing softly in the sand.) That will blend the bludgeon with the beauty! SC: There's a brief scramble for the weapon, but--not surprisingly--the nimble Yoshi comes out of the scrap with it, and immediately beats away his enemies with it. B: 83% KR: 78% G: 74% Y: 85% PY: Yoshi quickly gains the advantage and hurls a shower of stars at his foes, nailing them with each painful shot and forcing the beasts away from himself. Fortunately, that Star Rod should be packed up full of shooting power, so he won't be running out any time soon. B: 75% KR: 70% G: 68% Y: 85% SC: Ganondorf leaps high into the air, over the barrage of shots, and lands a painfully-accurate kick right into Yoshi's head, sending him falling backwards. The Star Rod flies from his hands, into the ocean waves, and is carried out to sea! So much for THAT weapon... B: 75% KR: 70% G: 68% Y: 77% PY: Eh. Easy come, easy go. Yoshi leaps to his feet and smacks Ganondorf across the face with his tail, then leaps a sweeping kick and returns the favor with an airial kick of his own, hitting his adversary in the jaw with a perfectly-placed boot to the face! Ganondorf flips in the air and hits the sand hard on his stomach, in no shape to return to his feet so hastily. B: 75% KR: 70% G: 50% Y: 77% SC: Bowser, meanwhile, grabs King K. Rool, who wriggles and fights like crazy, and hurls him into the sand. K. Rool blocks a punch as he stands, but takes another right in the nose and goes down again. Bowser grabs him by the tail, taking a kick from K. Rool's wildly-swinging back foot, then swings the Kremling around in a move taken straight from Mario's playbook! I guess Bowser knows how bad the ending hurts, and he lets go of King K. Rool after several rotations, sending him soaring onto his face in the beach. B: 60% KR: 51% G: 50% Y: 77% PY: Ganondorf leaps Bowser from behind, kneeing him in the shell with a hard attack. Although Bowser's shell is too hard to successfully penetrate with ANY attack, the Koopa King obviously felt that one, because he's gone into RAGE mode! He hurls away Ganondorf, then charges at him like a mad bull! Ganondorf easily slips aside, however, and Bowser instead blasts straight into King K. Rool, sending him sailing across the beach with a scream. Bowser is a little stunned, and Ganondorf takes the moment to smack Bowser in the back of the head with a hard kick that lays the Koopa King straight into the sand! B: 47% KR: 37% G: 50% Y: 77% SC: Has everyone forgotten about Yoshi down there? He's back in the lead already! PY: Yoshi won't just let the battle pass him by, and he comes leaping into the middle, kicking both Ganondorf and Bowser each as he spins in the air. Bowser falls back into the sand, but Ganondorf shrugs off the blow immediately and grabs Yoshi with a steel-fisted hand. He picks the little dinosaur right off the ground--and Yoshi SMACKS HIM IN THE FACE WITH HIS TONGUE! Ganondorf squawks in surprise, dropping Yoshi to the ground, and staggers back, trying to clear his eyes of gooey Yoshi spit! B: 40% KR: 37% G: 39% Y: 73% SC: Just after making that escape, Yoshi is pounded in the back by King K.Rool, flattening the little dino down in the sand! Bowser quickly jumps K. Rool from behind, and the two lugs wrestle in the sand for a moment before the Kremling King whips Bowser in the face with his tail and leaps away quickly. B: 36% KR: 31% G: 39% Y: 68% PY: Bowser grabs Yoshi by the foot and begins to spin him, but before he can release, Yoshi directs and egg straight into the Koopa King's face! How he pulled off that shot, while spinning around, I have no idea. It's a direct hit, and Bowser goes reeling, but Yoshi is sent flying off across the beach. B: 25% KR: 31% G: 39% Y: 55% SC: Ganondorf rushes at Bowser and leaps into the air, slamming the Koopa with a perfect airial kick! He takes off as he hits the beach, busting out his mighty Wizard Foot attack, but Bowser ducks into his spiney shell at the last second and spins himself, slamming Ganondorf right back with his spiked shielding. Ganondorf topples backwards, and Bowser leaps above him just before crashing down on the Gerudo King from above, smothering most of the life from him! If there's one thing you don't want, it's Bowser to sit on you! B: 17% KR: 31% G: 12% Y: 55% PY: K. Rool rushes in and gives Bowser a harsh shove, sending him flying, but Ganondorf has no chance to recoup as K. Rool turns and immediately begins trampling on him like a welcome mat, hoping to take him out of the fight himself at once. Bowser is back on his feet, and saves Ganondorf the final blow by charging horns-first into K. Rool, knocking him silly! Shouldn't they be cooperating to take down Yoshi, who has more than all of them combined? B: 10% KR: 18% G: 1% Y: 55% SC: They should...but they won't. Bowser grabs up K. Rool, too angered to leave him be, and slams him into the ground again. K. Rool tries to fight back, but Bowser grabs his arm and twists, tossing the Kremling King aside like a toy. Before he can escape, Bowser blows a wave of flames right at the lizard-like opponent, sending him back to the sand. With a final slash of his claw, Bowser finishes off his enemy, and King K. Rool goes down, the first out of the fight! B: 10% KR: 0% G: 1% Y: 55% PY: With K. Rool out of the fight, I think Ganondorf and Bowser are ready to put aside their egoes long enough to at least team up on Yoshi. The two villains stroll towards Yoshi, side-by-giant-side, as they stomp towards the odd-man-out. They draw closer...and GANONDORF ATTACKS BOWSER SUDDENLY WITH A HARD PUNCH TO THE HEAD! Bowser drops to the sand, but the blow is not hard enough to really even subdue him--Ganondorf better be ready to do some serious defense if he's going to survive this! B: 2% G: 1% Y: 55% SC: Neither gets the chance to strike, however, because Yoshi hurls an egg right between them, which explodes and defeats them both with the final hit of the match! The two villains collapse opposite each other on the sand, and we've only one reptile left in this round, and that fighter is YOSHI! B: 0% G: 0% Y: 55% PY: Wow, this is so unlike most of our battles! We very rarely see one fighter come out in victory with so much spare HP hanging around! SC: Surprising is hardly the word! PY: Um, Joe? I didn't even say that. SC: Oh...sorry. But it *IS* hardly the word, after all! PY: Maybe, but "victory doesn't come cheap," is perhaps the best collection of words to sum up just how strenuous these battles have become on our winners, and next time, our slogan will only be reinforced when this season's toughest rookies go at it in the first part of our Rookie Rumble! That's all for tonight, fans, and thanks for joining us! SC: Wait-.....WHAT'S THIS?! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, STAY IN YOUR SEATS, BECAUSE THIS BATTLE IS NOT YET OVER! THERE'S A NEW CHALLENGER ON THE FIELD...AND ANOTHER...AND ANOTHER! THEY'RE COMING OUT IN FORCE, AND YOSHI HAS A LONG FIGHT STILL AHEAD OF HIM! PY: Joe- SC: THEY'RE SWARMING ONTO THE FIELD! HE'S GOING TO BE IN THE FIGHT OF HIS LIFE NOW, FOLKS! IMPOSSIBLE AS IT MAY SEEM, THIS MATCH IS FAR FROM OVER! PY: JOE- SC: THIS IS THE CONCLUSION WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR ALL SEASON: A SURPRISE BOUT SO SURPRISING THAT NOBODY COULD BE MORE SURPRISED BY THIS SURPRISE THAN- PY: JOE!!! SC: Eh? Pirate! Don't cut me off when I'm rolling like this! This is the big finale- PY: Joe...that's the medical team, and they're taking Bowser, Ganondorf, and King K. Rool off the field. This match is over. SC: ...oh.... Well that's lame... |
