STORY: Harman Smith is a man of many talents...and of many different personalities. This former assasin can become any one of the Killer 7, a team of professional assasins. Each one with a special ability related to their history. For example, Coyote's former life of thieving allows him to pick locks, while Mask de's super strength from his career as a professional wrestler can allow him to move semi-trucks. At the beginning, our heroes are called in to deal with a terrorist organization known as "Heaven Smile." And as the game progresses, we seem to find out more and more about whats going on in the game as a whole. The player of this game slowly builds up information reguarding the Killer 7, only to be blown away by the twist ending. Now Garcian, Kevin, Con, Mask de, Kaede, Coyote, and Dan move from case to case, slowly coming closer to the truth about themselves, closer to the knowledge of how the Killer 7 came to be, as well as the fate of a whole country... 10/10
GRAPHICS: With the exception of various cutscenes, the main meat of the game is cel-shaded. Way back in the day I would be a bit sketchy about cel-shading, since before Wind Waker was released. But ever since I played Wind Waker, I learned never to judge a game based on its graphics. Some may not think the way I do in this reguard, but then oh well, you're missing out on something great. This category would have been a tad bit higher if the game was free roaming, cause its a bit of a pain to enjoy the background by having to look through your crosshairs. But luckily designers set this one up so as the character is running, you see quite a bit of the environment. This game was a spectacular piece of eye-candy that will leave you clutching at your eye sockets for more. All of the characters' movements are very smooth and fun to watch, whether its watching Con run up some stair or Kaede shooting a Heaven Smile right in the face, all spectacularly well done. 9.5/10
MUSIC AND SOUND: Ok, lets start with music. This game had a fantastic score, both in gameplay and in cutscenes. Each level had, what I can only describe as...the "right music." Some upbeat Mexican music is used in Ulmeyda City, while some awesome techno is used the club next to the Viniculum Gate, as well as some eerie tunes for some missions that are just plain...well, eerie. As far as sounds are concerned, they are all great. Especially all of the weapons and transforming of characters noises. The latter has a really unique sound that I dont think I've ever heard anything quite like it. The only thing in this game that ever irritated me was the repetitive use of some sounds and the lines. For example the Heaven Smile's laugh can get irritating after the third mission or so, as well as Dan saying "This is too easy, " after he's just killed his 74th enemy. But other then these small peeves, its all up to far and very pleasing to listen to. 9.0/10
CONTROLS: The controls are something very different. When I heard that the game was set on a track and that the "A" button moved you forward while "B" turned you around and "R" put you into a first person shooter, I was skeptical. I wont lie to you, I almost dismissed this game right then and there. But after watching some more game footage, I saw that this setup, albeit different, could still work. And work it does. Besides the aiming system being a little off when going around corners, its a perfect setup. Not once did I have a problem locating and irraticating an enemy with this setup. Using this track setup for certain boss missions is a blast, and I actually had fun with bosses, thats right, I looked forward to bosses. I'm certain everyone was a bit sketchy as to whether or not this new system would work, but I think its safe to say that everyone who has played this game is with me when I say this setup is awesome. 9.5/10
MULTIPLAYER: None.
