Five months in already?

Wow, how time flies when you're having fun, right?  And here at Yoshi Stadium, we're perpetually having fun...so time's constantly flying...which means we're all coming up on our 83rd birthdays...

Not really, but Yoshi Stadium IS approaching its 8th birthday!  Yes, it's true--this August, we'll be celebrating our eighth year on the web!  And to celebrate, we'll undoubtedly have some tasty snacks and virtual treats for our faithful and devoted visitors to enjoy.  Be sure to keep on the look out for news concerning our party!

I'd also like to make a subtle *poke-poke* at our newest review: a quick glimpse at the recently-released game Super Paper Mario, which I myself covered.  If you're curious about Mario's latest adventure or are in the market for a new title, perhaps this review will supply you with the perfect information.  Go
give a look!

The Yoshi Stadium tournament is still in the works as well!  This round took a pause from the action so that our fighters can recover some strength for the grueling final rounds approaching, but we'll resume our schedule next month.  In the meantime, catch up on any of the fights you've missed and pick out some favorites to follow!  There's still time for even the lowliest contender to come out on top!

Last but not least, plans for our feature-length Prince of Persia movie have continued to advance smoothly, but my gut feeling is that the picture won't be complete and posted until next summer.  Possibly for our ninth birthday?  At any rate, my apologies for perhaps upping your anticipation, but I promise the movie will only be better because of the wait.  I'm currently wrapping up script issues and shooting will begin in July.

IN GAMING NEWS...

Everyone knows that May is the month of E3, and we're eagerly awaiting some new tidbits to lunch on at America's best-known gaming conference!  What can we expect--a Mario and Sonic Olympic Games demo?  (Oops--did we miss that news, which ironically came too close to April Fools to initially be trusted?  It's really going down!)  Information about a Luigi's Mansion 2?  New Smash Brothers Brawl characters?  Only time (and our website) will tell....
