The Young Birders of Ohio
There are many young birders in the state of Ohio.  It would be great if some how we could form an organization to sort of bring all of these younger birders together.  This "club"  would be totally free, and it would allow us(the young birders) to get together for fellowship, birding adventures, and a chance to meet some of the other people in the younger age group that share interest.  It would be cool if we had like meeting every other month, and field trips whenever.  This club would not have "memberships" in any sense, since every one would be invited.  Some projects we could over see would be like a "Big Day athon" in April or any other month that would be enough interest.  Also we could do some bird banding or many other options.  I think it would be cool to have monthly field trips that would meet at the Worthington Mall in Columbus, and then head to a destination led by one of the younger birders.  A sort of "chain" of people from the same areas could be formed so people could car pool and save on gas.   I know this all seems a bit crazy, but I think it would be great to unite the younger crowd in Ohio.  Please email me with Ideas, and maybe by May we can have our first "field trip", although the April big day would be our first activity.  If anyone want to volunteer to lead a trip like to Magee and Ottawa, or somewhere else, please inquire about it.  If not, I could lead one, but I really would rather not, since May is almost completely booked for me (two weddings and Finals).  But please, tell me your ideas,  you can post them on the message board or email me.  I would greatly appreciate it.  I think that this could be something really good and beneficial to all of us.  Til next time, good birding!
