 Albert Young began decorating cakes professionally in 1960. He started out working in some of the top bakeries in Western New york as the head cake decorator. During this period, he had won various awards and had judged several cake decorating competitions all across the U.S.A. During the 1980's, he began to decorate full time out of his home and became one of the top cake decorators in New York State. As the demand grew, he realized it was time to step up and start his own corporation. With the help of his wife Jean and his son's Albert E., Aaron,and Joseph,he formed Albert Young's cakes have been featured in JET magazine, The Buffalo News and Channel 7's A.M. Buffalo. He has done cakes for celebraties such as former world boxing champion Muhammad Ali, gospel singer Shirley Caesar, veteran actress Cicely Tyson, Channel 7's Irv Weinstein, Tom Jolls, and Rick Azar, Mayor of Buffalo Anthony Masiello, and several sports figures of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres teams just to name a few. His cakes have travelled all over the globe, including Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. Albert Young and Son's cakes is located in the heart of North Buffalo as a part of the Hertel Avenue busines district. We do cakes for any and all occasions including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, baby and wedding showers, first communions, holidays, reunions and adult novelties. We also feature a variety of other types of sweet treats such as pastries, danish, cupcakes, pies, cookies, cobblers, and our delicious cheesecakes.
