My Original Show on WRUW was
Your Rx with DJ Heroin(e).
WRUW 91.1 FM, Cleveland
Heroin(e)'s History
I started DJ'ing at WBGU 88.1 FM on the Bowling Green State University campus in 1988 when I was 15 years old under the nomenclature DJ Heroin.  My slogan was "It's so good, one listen and you'll be addicted".  That still stands true.  I was there when college radio was still using knobs and switches, even some reel-to-reels!, these things called "carts" which were actually 8-track tapes, and all of us were just switching over to CD players.  At that time I was doing The Hardcore Show.  As years when on, I expanded to indie rock and during the riot grrrl era transformed my name to DJ Heroin(e).  I have always loved independent music and college radio and am glad to be continuing the tradition.  Hope you'll enjoy too!
Comprehensive list of shows I have attended.  It's pretty well packed, but there's more to add still!  Click Here to see.
OK - Here's the "real" me (I do have a wig on) at Howard's Club H in Bowling Green from a few years ago.  I don't remember who I was there to see.  It may have had something to do with my friend Jeff Scwartz who now lives in LA, though, because he took the picture.  I'll try to find a more current one down the road.  If you recognize me while out, though, say, "Hi!".
