The communtity of Oranjewoud is the most prestigeous Village of the province of Frysland.
Once it was the summer residens of the Orange-family who reigned the country of Friesland.
After the Napoleontion time their descendants became the kings and queens of the united Netherlands.
The name Oranjewoud means the forest of the Orange-family.
