If you had died the minute you started to read this, do you have the assurance that you would be in heaven? If so how do you know that you would spend eternity with God - If you died right now? What do you base that on?
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Romans 3:23
I am a sinner and you are a sinner. We all come short of the life of Jesus. I share this in love and not judgment. Each of us has an impure heart. Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8.
How do we have this pure heart?
"The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". Romans 6:23
There is a consequence to sin, separation from God. Our sins separate us from God. God's gift to us; cleanse our heart and give us eternal life.
"God gave His love to us while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". Romans 5:8
God did something about our condition, He gave Jesus. Jesus healed the sick, helped the blind to see, worked miracles just passing through the streets, and still does. Jesus has not faded away. He is with me and he is with you. He waits by your side until you accept his love that he offers you.
"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". Romans 10:13
You call upon the name of Jesus and be saved. The time is now. God desires you in his family. He wants to hear and welcome you to an eternal life and to be true to Jesus.
I have aid a prayer for each and everyone of you. I asked God to help you through your life, to give you wisdom, to give you love, and to show you how awesome your life can be with Christ. I would like to lead you in prayer to God that you may know Him and be a follower of Jesus and have eternal life. Repeat this:
"Dear God, as best as I know how, I give my life to you. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me, arose again and ascended to the father. I repent of my sins and trust Jesus to cleanse me, come into my life and save me. I want to believe in and be a foloower of Jesus. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit and your love. Make me a home in heaven and write my name in Your book. I am not ashamed of Jesus! Thank you Lord, in Jesus' name I pray."
If you said this prayer to God, you have been saved. Your life has been changed, not by God, but by you. You took the first step and gave your life to him so that he may use you in his wonderful plan. If you recieved Jesus just now, I want you to email me and tell me. Tell me how it feels, tell me if you were scared. I promise you don't have to be ashamed. There is nothing to be ashamed of. I won't repeat anything you say just to comfort you. God can change lives, and he has changed some this very minute.
