WHY GOALKEEPER?
I was a cricketer and used to do net practice with great players of Pakistan of that time.
Iqbal Park Lahore Olympian hall weather football tournament of 1967 was the starting point of
my football as a goalkeeper when I saw Rovers Club Goalkeeper farooq diving like star.
I thought I must start my career as a goalkeeper.
Pakistan Board Selection
In 1968, I was selected in Pakistan Board after winning InterBoard championship.
LAHORE DIVISION SELECTION
In 1968, I was selected in Pakistan Board after winning InterBoard championship.
PAKISTAN RAILWAY SELECTION
In 1970, I was selected in Pakistan RAILWAYS.
1972 The Major Year
- I became Captain Lahore Board
- I was selected in Pakistan youth
- I played in Tehran Asian Championship
- We won 2 matches beating Beharain and thailand and drew 1 while lost 2 matches
National Player
In 1973 I became Pakistan National Palyer and sustained the honour till 1977.
Linkman Time
From 1977-1989 I lead Pakistan Railway as linkman
Last Football Match As Player
In 1989 I played my last match as a player in Karachie against PIA and we won the match
I was Goal Scorer.
From NATIONAL REFEREE TO FIFA INTERNATIONAL REFEREE
- In 1990, I became referee and supervised National Championship
- In 1991, I became FIFA International Referee
- In 1994, I supervised Asian youth championship in Saudia
- In 1995, I supervised Indoor Football Championship in Tehran
- In 1996, I supervised Club Championship in Maldives
- In 1998, I supervised France98 qualifying rounds
Retirement
In 2000,at the age of 45 I was retired according to the Fifa Rules and started coaching
Coaching
In 2001, I became coach of PTCL
Future Plans
I want to setup "Football Academy" in Pakistan
