HELPING HANDS
Based on an idea from Sandy Maxwell, this works in a similar way to the eBay feedback system.
Many members of our group are very friendly people. And will do things for other members without asking for anything in return. This is just a small way to give them the recognition they deserve. It may also help with your vote for the Member and Site of the Month awards... When someone has done something just out of the goodness of their heart, please send their name to nikkilou@connexus.net.au. Every time a member gets a positive thing said about them; they will get a "Thumbs Up". After they receive 15 "Thumbs Up" they will receive a small award. Many members are very, very generous, and giving them reconigition is just something you can do in return, but still, many Helping Hands will go unrecognised...
When
people get a thumbs up, the first 15 are bronze (
). Once you get 15 bronze thumbs up, you
receive a "Big Fat Thumb" on your profile page, and
start at 1 again, but with silver thumbs (
). Again, after you get 15
silver, you get "An Even Fatter Thumb" for your profile
and start and 1 with gold thumbs (
). If you get 15 gold thumbs,
it means you have done 45 good deeds, and you will receive the
"Fattest Thumb" for your profile.
