POKEMON

Pokemon evolved from Pocket Monsters in Japan late last century (1990's), coming to life in an adventure game on the miniature screens of the Game Boy. Then came the Pokemon Card Trading Game, followed by the Pokemon television show. All were very popular in Japan, and in 1998, Pokemon arrived in America, then on to the rest of the world. Things haven't been the same since!

There are 150 Pokemon characters, and these have been captured on the cards of the various sets of Pokemon TCG cards. Up to now there has been Base 1 (102 cards), Jungle (64 cards), Fossil (62 cards), Team Rocket (82 cards), Base 2 (130 cards), Gym Challenge (132 cards), Gym Heroes (132 cards), Neo Genesis (111 cards), Neo Discovery (75 cards), and the new one (maybe not yet released in Aust) is the Neo Revelation (66 cards), plus the various language versions and Promos; Stickers, 3D Action cards, figurines etc... are also available.
