Annapurna Base Camp November 2003 | ||||||||
When I first decided to trek up Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), I wondered how I would be able to take endless walking for 5-6 hours every day for 10 days in a row. But it proved to be much easier than I thought. After the first day, which started easy with just a 3-4 hour trek up a gradual incline and through charming little villages, I soon forgot about the boredom of walking. The views of the mountains were spectacular and the people, friendly and interesting. One can't help but marvel at their simplicity and joy in life, despite living in poor conditions! But of course, the highlight of the journey was the cute men we met along the way! :) ABC - we shall never forget thee! |
