| From Participating Teachers 2/4/02: from beatrice_long@yahoo.com I have been a participating teacher of the Young Musicians' Program of CACA for over five years. The competition which my students participate annually have been a positive experience for the students. They learn to prepare and perform for a group of students of high calibre, and a body of juries whose comments have been constructive. With the committee's recognition in the winners' recital and the publicity in the news, the students truly feel a sense of accomplishment when they do well in this program. Since the competition is open to public, they also learn from listening to other students perform. I want to send my sincere gratitude to CACA for encouraging the students to strive for higher standards, and to send my congratulations to the committe for their labor of love in promoting such a worthy cause. yours, Beatrice Long 2/8/02: mailed to Lily CACA-YPMP brings children many good memories. Some of the alumni who performed long ago are now parents. I hope this competition will bring the future generation a memorable experience and a wonderful time. Christina Yao 2/11/02: from shirleyfan@mybluelight.com I and my piano students have a benefited greatly from my participation with Chinese American Culture Association. The competitions, being open to the public provide a fair forum for students and their parents. The monetary awards provide an excellent incentive, along with beautiful trophies provided for all finalists. I commend you for your twenty years of service to our musical community. Happy 20 years anniversary! Shirley Fan |
