Number of Days since the CIW Racial Assault occured:59 Number of Students demanding justice at the rally on March 15th: 600 Number of demands met by the administration: ZERO On Wednesday, April 12, 2000 six student representatives walked out of a meeting with the administration after three weeks of dealing with administration stall tactics.

He has recieved three Rockerfeller Foundation Multi-Arts Project grants,two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a 1998 Distinguished Artist Lifetime Achievement Award, and the recipient of a 1987 Peter Ivers Visiting Artist Fellowship at Harvard University and several ASCAP and Meet the Composer grants.
