Yeah Right History X
May 2000 Eston and Tero end up sitting in the same room at Nokia R&D offices Salo. Somewhere in 2002 they decide to visit Nokia Music club for some jamming. In the summer of 2003 Tero visits Eston's place a couple of times with his bass and amp. And finally fall 2003, our heroes reserve their own keys for Music club premises and start weekly trainings together - after sitting more than three years in the same room! Damn these guys are fast!

After a few trainings Joe L shows up, and is willing to join the band as a side project. During the first weeks of 2004 it starts to look like the side project is growing to THE project... Which was nice.

Although Yeah Right is loaded with huge amount of humour, we are not ONLY a joke. Sometimes we even have something to say, like the lyrics in
Mistakes and Party is the Key might indicate. Things can be said in many ways, and this is the (Yeah) Right -way.

About the songs. So far they are all written and composed by Eston (arrangements by YR), but we are sure that will change in the future - already one made by Tero belongs to the training set.
One More Beer is an old one made long before Eston and Tero even met (except the lyrics), and almost as old is Behind Your Back. The rest of the songs are made during band history (last half of 2003 & during 2004). The ready made songs are listed on the songs page ordered by date (oldest first).

Yeah Right recorded a first-ever-demo during
spring 2004, and the newborn got a name after the opening track Heavy Heavy Metal. Altogether this demo has four tracks on it, and after the tight opening comes Whisky In The Head, Behind Your Back and last but not least One More Beer.

As this was our first one, we made of course several mistakes with it, especially in the pre-work and arrangement parts, but that's life: We live, we learn. Next time, Gadget, next time... Anyway, despite the mistakes, this demo represents us quite well - we are a loud, not-so-skilled, could-not-care-less band. In other words, we are a rock band, right?

Our first gig took place shortly after the demo sessions. We performed a set lasting about 40 minutes, in front of appr. 2000-3000 Nokia-workers in Salo, Finland. Poor fellows. Hope they have recovered.

So much for the history. Our first gig is no longer our only performance, and most likely another demo is to be made later, but those are the things you should be watching from the
updates page.

See ya!
