Whispers & Whinnys Horsemanship Day Camp 2002

On our Ranch our "Happy Campers" will be American Miniature Horse owners for their entire enrollment during our Summer program. On day one, we will carefully match horses and whisperers allowing the responsibility of their horse's welfare and education to become their focal point. Students will participate in halter training, grooming, feeding, round pen reasoning, showmanship exercises, games, trail obstacles, and exhibition that will give them self confidence, a renewed ability to set and achieve goals, physical conditioning, and the knowledge to understand, communicate, and educate their equine friends without fear or anger. As we all realize, effectively managing one's emotions are the biggest challenges for kids today, and horses are proving to be excellent teachers.

Each session will have different goals with beginner to advanced through the entire 8 week duration allowing for students to benefrit from any sessions they attend, of course the total benefit will be for those attending all 8 weeks of our camp. We guarantee your kids will be active and challenged. Each camper will be required to complete a scrapbook and a daily journal. They will participate in all phases of equine health management, equine first aid, lots of games, field trips, and super Guest Speakers.

Special arrangements cam be made for students to bring their own horses that desire further training/riding skills. Beware, we are firm believers in the need for total equine & youth obedience in hand before anyone rides!! Always Safety First. The majority of horses and riders belong back at square one.
