As diverse problems occur in modern societies, a pioneering leader is needed to lead and cooperate with his or her people to acheive the ultimate aim. Moreover, the importance of a leader is emphasized as we go through unexperienced situations. Therefore, we need to vote for an appropriate candidate as if our life is depended on.
1)Virtues/Strengths
The president of Korea should have the leadership for the purpose of persuading his or her people to promote efficiency and equity in his or her nation. Not only the foresight to predict the future, but also the ability to learn something from mistakes occurred in the past is what benevolent leaders should have. In addition the charisma and kindness have to be in harmony.
2)Platform: The Three most pressing concerns for the first decade of the New Milennium
There are a considerable number of problems which need to be solved. Above all, the re-unification of Korea is a lucid issue which many people are interested in. It was a tremendous controversy over century. In addition to this, the control of U.S.army is significant, too. Also the economic development is one of the serious and essential problems in global society. Korea is not an exception for this matter. Last but not the least, problems concerning about education is mondatory, because it is one of the effective investments for the future.
3)Reality:Of the current candidates, who do you favor and why?
-이회창: He has showed his pioneering ability since he was a child. His academic background is admiring. Also his realtionship with foreign politicians and promising entreprenuer. Above all, his positive attitude toward our school makes me favor him.
-노무현: His promising present fate wasn't sealed previously. His force to become a president candidate instead of 정몽준 is made by his own effort. Especially, his dilligence is well-known throught the country.
4)Ideal:In conclusion; if you could nominate anyone from among all of the people in Korea(be that person famous or totally unknown to most Koreans) who would you choose and promote strongly for president. Why?
I hope our principal can become a president, for his will of changing KMLA to the heaven where students can take care of their lives by themselves. Thus, I will be once convinent for all, living without thinking of going to the university. I could swim in the pool filled with papers with a drawing of George Washingon smiling gently. However, I have to give up my hope, for my ancestors' 5000-year-master work. Therefore, I think there should be no president. Only congress needs to be established. Horray for new policy made for the bright future of S.Korea. The best candidate is no candidate forever.
