Present Activities ...

Besides Group Meditation every Sunday morning, the Kendra has predominantly been active in offering free medical services mostly to poor patients of the locality and far beyond through its Charitable Homoeopathic Dispensary. The Kendra has recently started a school with seven students in symbolic remembrances of that first school of Gurudeva. The centre also houses a Library named after Paramahansa Yogananda attracting religious minded persons from far and wide and nourishing them with the writings of Guruji.

Future Plans ...

A Master Plan has recently been approved whereby this plot of land would be developed with all the facilities of a full-fleged centre. It will have a Smriti Mandir to be built just where the tower once existed, a Meditation Hall large enough to accommodate over 100 devotees, Monks' Quarter, Guest House and other projects. As the construction of the entire project

involves a huge amount of expenditure, it has therefore been decided to implement the scheme in a phased manner with the Meditation Hall to be constructed initially. Swami Sri Shantanandaji, Joint General Secretary, YSSI, laid the foundation stone of the Meditation Hall on 19.12.2004.
