To her amazement, there in the coffee shop were Beeny and Floppy, sat either side of a table, both with coffee but Beeny also had a fag dangling between her lips. Betty couldn't help but make a beeline for their table.

Beeny jumped: 'How on earth did you get here?'

'I don't think that's the question that needs to be answered at the moment, is it?'

Floppy started to wail: 'The thing is... We love each other', he stuttered. 'We needed the money to pay for the bus fare to Gretna Green'.

'Oh for goodness sake', words began to fail Betty. She went to speak when her senses were overtaken. Her nose twitched and she beamed unconsciously as she once more detected the delectable smell of chicken and mushroom flavoured noodles. 'I did it for you', Beeny's voice seemed distant now. There was a brief silence, then 'Well, do you want it or not?' Beeny had adopted her familiar screeching voice. Betty sat up. She had been lying on her bed, dressed in her "Winnie the Pooh" jumper and a pair of jeans that had started to part company with her waist. She took the noodle snack out of Benny's outstretched hand. 'Oh, thanks', she murmured as Beeny left the room.

'Thank goodness it was a dream', thought Betty. 'If Floppy's going to marry anyone, I'm sure it'll be me...'
