As the town clock struck twelve, there was a huge cheer from the folk assembled on Ystranglus town square. It was the start of the band's Centenary year and following the tragic events that had taken place a few years earlier, the whole community had rallied in support. An influx of new players and a new determination within the band had secured a well-deserved promotion. The Desmond Protheroe memorial had been bulldozed and replaced with a statue of Gondor and his family alongside a brand new bandroom that had been built entirely by the residents of Rhestr Fach. |
