Obed and Jessica Wedding Saturday Night 24 July 2004

Mexican weddings take place at night and this one was set to start at 7 or so.  Brother Roy had been asked last year to be the honored Pastor to wed them.  One small factor that he did not know about was he got the honor of buying the rings.  He went out and got two beautiful rings for Jessica and Obed.  Jessica's family handmade some of the decorations and it went off beautifully. Theresa who has been a hair dresser for 20 years and who meet Jessica's family last year on her first trip to the Yucatan and voluntered to do Jessica's hair for her wedding.

Dedria was Theresa the hair stylist assistant.  While I just took pics and did drawings of Jessica and some of her family members as they did their hair and makeup.  Theresa did very good as they were then asked when they had finished Jessica's hair if they would not mine doing her mothers and then her cousins hair as show in the photo.

These little ones are dressed and ready.  They look so cute, just had to get a shot together, in the door way of Jessica's mom home where Jessica and Obed will live a short time after their wedding until they get their own place.

Here comes the Bride!!!

The look at Iglesia Bautista El Calvario just before the people started arriving for the wedding.

Jessica's Bride Maids are all very beautiful and well dressed.  I hardly reliazed it was Abragil, she showed much grace.  She speaks pretty good english and was much help the day before in Sacapuc with her Dad and little sister Mary. Her cousin shown in this photo is holding a rope and flowers type bond used in the wedding and it was the first time I had ever seen such a thing.  But I suppose it was like some who light a candle or those who smash glass.

Brother Roy is the honor pastor for the ceremony of Obed and Jessica wedding.  The Iglesia Bautista el Calvario was packed with some people standing along the backwall.  Everyone looked very happy for the couple.
