Time Limit

There will be 1 match in each line-up. Due to the tournament only lasting 2 1/2 hours, each match will last exactly 45 minutes. At the end of 45 minutes, the duelist whose turn it currently is will end their turn. The duelist with the most life points is then declared the winner. If both players have the same amount life points at the end of 45 minutes, a sudden death match will occur.

Step 1: For a sudden death match, both duelists must choose 9 cards from his/her deck. The cards must include the following:

3 trap cards (only 1 of the 3 cards may be limited or semi-limited)

3 monster cards (only 1 of the 3 cards may be a tribute monster and limited or semi-limited)

NOTE: Monster, Magic, and Trap cards that deal direct damage are not allowed to be selected due to both duelists possessing only 2000 life points. Monster cards that can attack directly are allowed, as well as magic/trap cards that enable a monster to attack directly or deduct the difference between their monster's attack and their opponent's defense from their opponent's life points. Cards that force an opponent to discard any number of cards from their deck may not be chosen either.

Here are some examples of cards that would be allowed:

Mad Sword Beast, Robbin Goblin, White Magical Hat, Fairy Meteor Crush, Jowls of Dark Demise, Jinzo #7, Leghul, etc.

After choosing your 9 cards, you should only have 3 or less limited and/or semi-limited cards including 1 tribute monster. (Selecting a tribute monster as well as selecting limited and/or semi-limited cards is optional. Fusion monsters count as tribute monsters as well.)

Step 2: The duelist who ended his/her turn due to exceeding the 45 minute time limit goes second. Both duelists start out at 2000 life points.

Step 3: The two duelists then have 10 minutes to duel. The first duelist to run out of cards to draw or life points loses. If neither duelist has lost by the end of 10 minutes, the duelist with the most life points is declared the winner.
